In 1909, many addresses changed in Louisville. This location, 3000 S. Fourth Street used to be 3500 Fourth Street before 1909. Dr. W. H. Coleman bought the property in 1904. He died in the house in 1923. His son, Dr. Thomas B. Coleman, had a doctor's office there too. The Coleman family sold the house in January of 1971. The house has had different uses over the years including being a restaurant.
In 1925, it was advertised as a physicians office. It appears to have been the home of Dr. William Henry and Grace Greenwood (Witten) Coleman.
The video is from a body cam that Brent was wearing-- we were having a lot of issues with our walkie talkies at this time-- and while some of it we have to brush off as interference with someone outside of the building. However, we had just switched to channel 15 when suddenly we had morse code come through only one of our walkie talkies. It was bizarre. I am going to try and figure out what this code means. I am not sure if it was paranormal but it did give me the heebie jeebies and I will keep you updated!
The first EVP ( (Haunted Hotel EVP 1) is a light shuffle you can hear that sounds like someone's clothes. We all heard this audibly in the church, but what was odd was that we all heard it from different corners of the room.
The second EVP (Haunted Hotel EVP 2) is when we were heading towards the "laundry" room. None of us heard this with our ears-- but we think it sounds like a distant scream. It is very creepy!
We had lots of experiences with our spirit boxes-- and one of the most interesting stories is we were in the basement participating in the Estes Method. That's when one investigator puts on noise cancelling headphones and connects them to the spirit box. The other investigators ask questions, and the headphoned investigator tries to answer with what they hear through the spirit box. We had several instances in the basement where the investigators would ask "how many spirits are down here with us?" I answered (through headphones) "Two bodies" We also received some answers that implied that they needed to be excavated, and we received a name-- Mr. Payton. We're gonna try and do some research to find out if there was a Mr. Payton or if it was random. When I talked to the managers later (I know Arron, I can't remember her name! It started with a B, I think and she was so nice), they said I was the third person who's told them that there may be "someone" in the ground and to get cadaver dogs. Crazy!
So, we had some insane, eerie experiences and we are so thankful we got to investigate. I will always promote your business! Thank you for your kindness!
